About us

Building Energy Sovereignty Starts With People

Voices, values, and leadership shaping the future of clean energy.

Our Story

Rising utility costs, limited control over infrastructure, and the need for greater self-determination pushed the Iowa Tribe of Kansas and Nebraska to take ownership of their energy future.

The Tribe built GS3 by combining its vision for sovereignty with trusted partners who could provide the right technical expertise and business experience. That collaboration shaped Grey Snow Sovereign Solutions into a Tribally owned enterprise dedicated to advancing clean energy and long-term sustainability.

“We wanted to ensure that the power we bring to our communities isn’t just about electricity. It’s about empowerment, ownership, and creating something that benefits our people for generations.” – Franklin Moore | President, GS3

Today, GS3 delivers truly end-to-end renewable energy and microgrid solutions. Each project is designed to be practical, resilient, and rooted in sovereignty. Strengthening infrastructure, creating local jobs, and keeping the benefits of clean energy in Tribal hands

SOLAR TRAINING PROGRAMS

Developing the Workforce for Energy Sovereignty

Strong systems need strong people behind them. And training Tribal members to lead, operate, and maintain clean energy projects ensures sovereignty lasts beyond the build.

That’s why workforce development isn’t an afterthought at GS3. It’s one of our core commitments.

By investing in skills and careers, we keep knowledge in the community, create long-term opportunities, and prepare the next generation of energy leaders.
